Can I get off unemployment benefits, go on Workman's Comp benefits, and return to unemployment benefits?

Tore my Achilles tendon while at work - off my foot for a month with WC benefits, returned to work and was laid off - but WC DR. kept the claim open just to make sure I was OK. Been on Unemployment since Feb. 2011. On final visit to WC Dr. (a week ago) he said I would need surgery in 3 weeks with rehab of 4 months. Can I get off current unemployment benefits, go on WC for 4 months , and then return to unemployment benefits for the remainder of my eligibility?
