If I became disable after working 7-yrs would I be able to draw Social Security Disability Benefits.?

Had a heart-attack, then had major heart surgery. Now, not able to work at all. Am I qualified to draw disability benefits? I've been waiting more than a year\w out any sort of income; public assistance, workman's comp, or unemployment. I'm about to loose my apartment, car, and everything I own, because I have no income, but I've paid into the system! What can I legally do? I'm seeing two doctor's, but I don't have No Medical Insurance to pay them. I cannot get my medications cause I have no funds to pay for them. (((Someone help me please!)))
