Christians: Opinions on premarital sex?

Premarital sex is just as wrong for both genders. Women, while submissive to men, are not property, prizes, or anything except people. I figure that as long as your non-virgin spouse is sorry and has changed, then it's water under the bridge. If not, they're not worth the trouble.
