Pregnancy disability in Texas?

I'm looking for answers about pregnancy disability in the state of Texas. I'm 28 years old, 4 months pregnant, and I have been an Emergency Medical Technician for 9 years. I was working for a small, private company near Houston when I fractured my knee and could not do the heavy lifting required of my field. Before being cleared to return to work, I found I was pregnant. I went to my orthopedic Dr., got cleared, and went to talk to the owner of my company. When I told her I was pregnant, she told me she would not allow me to return to work. The day after, my OB also told me I would not be able to do any heavy lifting. My company owner said she would find me a desk job when I fractured my knee and said the same thing when I told her about my pregnancy, but that was in January of this year, and I haven't heard anything from them. They also don't provide workman's comp, disability, or FMLA. I tried to apply for unemployment, but because I haven't worked in such a long time, I haven't made enough money to qualify. My poor husband is now working himself into an early grave, and while I have been trying to find work (I have had 3 interviews) ,because I'm pregnant no one wants to hire me. We are now living paycheck to paycheck and are getting behind on a couple of bills. We really need help, so any advice would be awesome.
